A ministry of Uplift Station
Wilderness Discipleship
Real Men. Real Brotherhood. Real Faith.
Get away. Get real. Grow closer to Jesus.
What it is
Iron Sharpens Iron
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)
Wilderness Discipleship is a men’s ministry of Uplift Station. We get out of the routine, into God’s creation, and into the kind of honest, no-mask conversation most men haven’t had since they were boys. We hunt. We fish. We camp. We hike. We ride. Whatever puts us in real country with real time on the clock. And then we open the Word together around the fire. We pray. We carry each other’s burdens. We point each other to Christ.
It is not a retreat to feel better about yourself. It is a place to be sharpened — and the only One who can do that is Jesus, using His Word and His people.
What we do
Get Away. Get Real. Grow Closer to Jesus.
Four pieces, woven together. Take away any one of them and you lose the point.
Wilderness Adventures
Hunts. Fishing trips. Camp weekends. Backcountry hikes. Long rides. The activity is the doorway — the brotherhood, the prayer, and the Word are the point. We use the outdoors the way it was always meant to be used: as a place where men can put down their phones, slow down, and actually be present.
Around the Fire
Scripture-rooted teaching after a long day — in the woods, on the water, or back at camp. Not a sermon you sit through; a conversation you join. The Word, opened plainly, applied honestly.
Real Brotherhood
The talk that matters happens where life slows down — in a deer stand at dawn, on a riverbank, on a long ride, around a fire after dark. Men who will actually call you, ask the real questions, and pray for you when no one else is watching.
Service in Christ’s Name
We don’t just talk. We work. Hands-on service to local families, to widows, and to the church — in the name of Jesus.
Who it’s for
Real Men. Real Struggles.
If any of these sounds like you, you belong on the next trip.
The father who needs steel in his spine
Raising kids in this world will wear a man down. Come get sharpened.
The husband fighting for his marriage
You don’t need a polished retreat. You need brothers who will fight beside you.
The young man finding his footing
Manhood under Christ isn’t handed to you. It is forged. Come learn from men who walked it.
The brother in the trenches
Addiction, depression, divorce, anger, doubt — nothing here is off the table. Honest, gospel-rooted help.
The seasoned man with something to give
If you have walked with Christ for years, we need you. There are younger men who need a Paul.
The skeptic who’s curious
Not sure what you believe about Jesus? Come anyway. We’ll be straight with you.
